Jacobs Douwe Egberts (JDE) Professional has won a deal to supply Cambridge Vending with Douwe Egberts instant coffee supporting the initial conversion of over 25 machines to Douwe Egberts branded instant coffee machines plus rolling the product out across the rest of its machine park.
The deal represents 3T of instant coffee annually for the coffee supplier.
Cambridge Vending switched from its previous coffee supplier after Douwe Egberts outperformed its competitive set in a blind tasting.
Speaking about the contract, a spokesperson for Cambridge Vending said: “Douwe Egberts original instant blend stood out as the clear winner so it was a unanimous decision to move our supply across to JDE. We have already begun to roll out our new Douwe Egberts branded vending machines across the relevant sites and are confident our customers will enjoy the quality and consistency offered by this change to our business.“
The decision to change has already paid dividends for Cambridge Vending, having assisted in winning a number of contracts for fully branded operated machines.
The contract with Cambridge Vending, builds on over 20 years supplying fresh brew products and marks a continued focus on the vending industry as JDE extends its partnerships with operators in the sector. It also represents new business for JDE, which has not previously supplied instant coffee to the company.
Cambridge Vending is part of the AVS who JDE continue to work closely with to serve the UK consumer the coffee they love.
