BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions secure new leads and raise awareness at leading industry event

BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions attended the Vendex North exhibition on the 15th November held at Old Trafford, home of Manchester United Football club. Vendex North is one of the most established and respected events for the UK vending industry.

The exhibition was the perfect opportunity to develop new relationships and strengthen ties with existing partners. Jo Quantrill, Vending Sales Manager commented, “What is so great about this event is that the key decision makers who decide on using finance as a route to market are present, making each conversation valuable. As a result of attending the event we are currently in negotiation stage with 8 potential new partners and have re-engaged with over 30 existing partners.”

According to Jo, Vendex North helps the team to gather valuable insights. “The whole vending industry is well represented at this event – from industry manufacturers and distributors of machines and components to the commodity suppliers and operators. This gives us the insight we need to deliver innovative finance solutions suited to this market specifically.”

A key message for vending suppliers was to explain how a finance-based sales strategy can help increase sales of new machines. Jo explains, “Year-on-year, sales are down due to more businesses turning to second hand machines to save money in these difficult economic times. The issue with second hand machines is they can be unreliable and cost more to service. We help vendors sell new equipment so that their customer can have a more reliable fleet, a higher quality product, and reduced servicing costs.”

The team showcased Master Vend Plan at the event – a bespoke leasing product designed for the vending market. The product combines the cost of the machine rental, servicing costs and ingredients in to a single, periodic payment.  “Master Vend Plan simplifies the sales process, increases machine sales and reduces the operator’s administration cost base,” commented Jo.

Following the success of the show the team are putting plans in place to attend the Vendex South and North exhibitions in 2012.
