The BWCA has raised more than ‘just a drop’ of money to fund clean water sources in Zambia through the charity Just a Drop. The Association and its members have already raised over £66,000 and have a thirst to raise yet more.
The BWCA annual charity golf day aims to do just that. On Thursday June 27, 2019 members and guests will gather at The Oxfordshire Golf Course, near Thame. Organiser Peter Brooks, deputy chairman of the BWCA says: “This combines the best of all things for golf lovers: convivial company on a superb course and all for a good cause. We invite others to join us”.
Phillipa Atkinson-Clow, general manager of BWCA said: “Our 5 for 5 Sustainability Pledge has as one of its aims to seek ways to be more socially sustainable, helping the wider community and this is a perfect way to meet that objective. Last year this event raised in excess of £3,000.”
