Defra legislation update

With Thérèse Coffey back as Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), The Vending and Automated Retail Association (AVA) has  hope that the various delayed pieces of legislation will get back on track.

These include the Extended Producer Responsibility, Deposit Return Scheme for England, Northern Ireland and Wales and Consistent Waste Collection which are all queuing up.

The next stage of the consultation process should be released before Christmas.

As soon as the next stage consultations are released, The AVA will be hosting an update webinar detailing any financial or operational impacts as soon as the next stage of consultations are released.
