In its second year, the California Raisin Healthy Caterer of the Year Award has been a huge success, with school caterers sending in entries from all over the UK. Sunderland City Council were selected due to their strategy and planning within schools to help provide healthy meals for pupils.
Additionally, Sunderland City Council have come up with innovative recipes using California Raisins.
Marketing Director UK, Peter Meadows, states: “It is fantastic to see so many school caterers around the UK committed to healthy school foods and using California Raisins in their everyday menus, and really experimenting with their different uses.”
