Moscow to host VendExpo and WRS5 2018 in March

International exhibitions, VendExpo and World Retail Smart Solutions and Self-Service Systems (WRS5 2018) will join forces for a trade event showcasing vending technologies and self-service systems next year.

Held from March 28 to 30 in Moscow, the event is expected to welcome nearly 80 local and international companies presenting over 150 brands of vending machines, spare parts, ingredients, payment solutions, self-service systems and more. More than 4,000 entrepreneurs from all Russian regions and nearby countries are expected to visit the exhibition.

This is the first time the event will be held simultaneous to franchise exhibition Buybrand Franchise Market, which is expected to gather more than 100 national and foreign franchise companies in the sphere of public catering, retail and services as well as over 5,000 entrepreneurs with total investment potential around $0.7bn. The exhibitors and visitors to Buybrand Franchise Market hope to be able to increase the flow of visitors to the event and widen the audience.

There has already been keen interest in the event from brands such as as CPI, Mars, Gumballs, VNE SRL, Provending, Bilt, ICT, Evolve, NECTA, BRITA, Rheavendors East, Stego, Innovative Technology and others who have confirmed their participation.

Russian companies SIBA Vending, Unicum, VendEx, Vavilon Vending, Telemetron and Vendshop will also be in attendance. Almost 70% of exhibition space has already been sold.  

The vending market in Russia is growing steadily. According to a report by the president of the National Association of Automated Trade, Boris Belotserkovskiy, the 2018-2021 growth rates for vending in Russia are expected to equal the rates of food retail development at 12-13%.

By 2021, the number of vending machines is expected to reach 270,000 driven by market growth factors such as the hosting of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, adopting popular formats of retail by the vending market due to growing share of intellectual machines, the share of economically active urban population increasing by 5.3% annually, as well as growing interest in vending from international FCMG-manufacturers.

The exhibition is held under the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation, with the support of National Vending Association, OPORA ROSSII, European Vending Association.
