Lucozade Ribena Suntory has won a vending contract with national fitness chain Bannatyne Health & Fitness and will be rolling out its interactive machines across 61 of the Clubs. Offering touchscreen technology, a shopping cart functionality allowing members to purchase multiple products and a cashless payment option, the Lucozade vending machines are ideal for busy outlets – holding a large capacity of between 220 to 340 bottles.
The new vending machines offer a great sales opportunity, particularly within the health and fitness channel as Lucozade Sport drinks are specifically designed to be consumed during exercise. Whilst Lucozade Sport provides carbohydrates and electrolytes to enhance hydration and help maintain performance during prolonged endurance exercise; Lucozade Sport Lite is a low calorie sports drink targeted at hydration during medium intensity exercise lasting less than an hour.
Charlie Ottewill, Customer Business Executive at Lucozade Ribena Suntory, says: “Our Lucozade vending machines are market-leading and we are delighted to have secured this contract with the prestigious Bannatyne Health & Fitness Clubs. The machines offer a great sales opportunity with the interactive touchscreens allowing members to purchase multiple products in one transaction quickly and conveniently through the additional option of cashless payment. We know that cashless payment delivers a 23% sales uplift, providing a solution when members don’t have change with them. The availability and visibility our machines offer is key to maximising sales – 15% of people will not buy if they can’t find the product they want. The touchscreen also offers members the chance to read nutritional information about the products, helping them to choose the correct drink for their needs.”
