Project aims to ensure that Lavazza coffee is grown and harvested to the benefits of the workers, the community and the environment of the selected areas, which now include Brazil, India and Tanzania.
Through the project, Lavazza guarantees long term support for coffee producers and growing communities by helping to improve the quality and consistency of their coffee. This includes developing new housing, medical facilities and schools, whilst also improving water treatment and cultivation techniques used by growers. It also uses a new coffee processing and drying system enabling the farmers to obtain a higher market price.
