Lavazza brings a taste of Italy to TUCO 2009

The TUCO exhibition is the annual conference of the University Caterer’s organisation, and is regularly well attended by caterers, chefs and those in charge of catering options for universities across the UK. The event showcases foodservice and vending products, previews new launches, and gives visitors a chance to speak directly to the experts. This year’s event at the University of Birmingham was attended by Vending Operator Seymour Valentine in collaboration with Lavazza, Italy’s favourite coffee.

The small but eye catching Seymour Valentine stand showcased the company’s strong vending segment and featured the Lavazza Astro and BLUE capsule system. During the exhibition, the Seymour Valentine team educated visitors on what makes a truly Italian cup of coffee, with tastings and demonstrations of the BLUE system.

With the BLUE (Best Lavazza Ultimate Espresso) capsule system, Lavazza provides the ultimate coffee experience, with minimum effort. Quick and easy to use, each capsule guarantees 100 per cent fresh coffee, to rival that made by any high street café barista. Thanks to its versatility and user friendliness, the BLUE system is ideal for the university environment and public spaces, suitable for all aspects from the office to the university hall. For students accustomed to a regular cup of quality coffee, the Lavazza vending systems offers an affordable option, without compromising on premium Italian quality. Furthermore, staff such as lecturers can offer hot beverages quickly and easily during seminars and meetings in their offices, thanks to Lavazza’s range of table top machines.

To promote Lavazza’s sustainable coffee blend Tierra, which is 100 per cent certified by the Rainforest Alliance, visitors were encouraged to take part in prize draw to win an exclusive, limited edition coffee set.
