Launching in line with Green Great Britain Week, Gunwharf Quays is set to be the first location in Portsmouth to offer coffee cup recycling.
Gunwharf Quays and Gosport based packaging manufacturer Huhtamaki have partnered up to tackle recycling used paper coffee cups.
Gunwharf Quays will offer shoppers an opportunity to recycle their coffee cups, with purpose-fitted bins located throughout the centre.
The used cups will be removed from the general waste stream to be sure they are recycled into new paper products.
The scheme launched on October 18 and will be the first of its kind for both Landsec, the organisation that owns and manages Gunwharf Quays, and the City of Portsmouth
