Caffeine Limited appoints new operations manager

Jodie Makin has been appointed operations manager at UK coffee machine specialist, Caffeine Limited.

She brings a wealth of experience to the role, which sees her co-ordinating the work of the different departments at Caffeine to ensure customers get the high levels of service they’ve come to expect.

Before joining Caffeine, Jodie was with Costa Coffee for nine years, working her way up from Barista to store manager before moving to Costa Express and gaining experience of a range of equipment. At Costa Express she worked as brand coach, providing training across the south of England. After that she moved to the international operations team, where she helped introduce Costa Express to new markets as well as supporting the growth of existing markets in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

This has given her an excellent understanding of the coffee industry, which will play a key role as Caffeine continues to expand and serve dealers and existing and new customers.

Jodie said: “Everyone here has a great attitude, we want to get stuff done and do things for the right reasons,” she says. “It’s a varied role, I get to be hands on while also dealing with corporate strategy. It’s almost impossible to get this mix in a corporate setting, and that’s one of the reasons I love the whole family-run element of Caffeine.”

“The equipment and the coffee we sell is amazing,” she says. “It’s fun to be working in an industry you’re passionate about.”

With Caffeine going from strength to strength, Jodie is keen to help maintain and enhance the standards of service their customers expect. “It’s the mix of quality, expertise, and passion that our customers love us for.  I’m looking forward to supporting them as they continue to ride the ever-changing waves of the coffee world and helping them to give their consumers the best possible coffee experience!”
