Beaver Machine Corporation founder passes away

Beaver Machine Corporation has announced that its founder, Josef Schwarzli, has sadly died of COVID-19.

Joe started Machine-O-Matic Limited, later renamed Beaver Machine Corporation, as a metal casting company in 1963 while also designing and manufacturing the Beaver gumball machines that are well known today.

His passion, vision and industry changing engineering continue to set the benchmark in the industry around the world through his company. He can also be credited with designing the equipment that produced the first perfectly round gumballs.

Joe passed away early in the morning of 14 December after losing the battle with COVID-19.

His family said: “Our family lost an extremely intelligent, humble man who was thoughtful, kind, generous and a gentleman to the core. He was a dedicated and loving husband and leaves behind his soulmate, Josie, of 65 years. Joe enjoyed nothing more than working outdoors, singing, whistling, dancing and playing his harmonica. His memory will live on in many hearts.”
