A personal touch at AVEX for Crane

craneCrane Merchandising Systems welcomed visitors to its stand at this year’s AVEX, impressing them with its media capability with one connection for cashless and machine management. The leading vending solutions provider also showcased a wide range of state-of-the-art, eye-catching models, all demonstrating the ‘Custom Store Front’ with bespoke graphics screen shots and attractive service door panel designs.

The potential to personalise machines and use them as tools to promote products, services and events, specific to a brand or location, is becoming a key factor in the buying selection process for many of Crane’s customers. Sales director for Crane Merchandising Systems, Mike Kane explains: “Existing customers have a history of returning to us for quality and durability – they want machines with longevity to underpin any new software or technology. However, the customers who are less familiar with our brand and its credentials are being drawn to machines like the Voce, the Merchant and the BevMax for their potential to attract and engage end users and the opportunities they offer to market and promote other goods and services.”

Crane used the vending exhibition to introduce its new Media Platform which can be used in conjunction with a number of the company’s high performance machines to drive sales with its innovative mix of new retail tools. Included in a catalogue of superior ancillary equipment provided by the vending supplier, the platform has been successfully piloted at multiple sites across the UK, including business, healthcare, education and leisure environments.

Mike continues: “The Media Platform is ideal to introduce at an exhibition as there is so much to show from the intuitive touch screen user interface and the built-in product library to the easy-to-pay systems and the shopping cart retail technology. The platform, coupled with the look of the customised models, generated a real buzz at the stand.”
