Vending International magazine is calling on manufacturers, suppliers, operators and individuals to enter this FREE awards scheme by nominating themselves for a prestigious Vendie award at www.thevendies.com
The Vendies (formerly the Vending Industry Awards) will return to Manchester this July, following the second day of AVEX.
Organised by Datateam Business Media, a modern and dynamic communications business offering over 50 publications, websites, exhibitions and awards, the event is designed to reward and celebrate the achievements of the vending industry, whilst providing a valuable networking opportunity for the industry.
Responding to industry feedback, new categories including Best Machine Innovation Concept, Best Payment or Cashless System and Best New Product have been introduced. For more information on categories and criteria, please visit the website or speak to a member of the team.
Event director Hannah Dedman commented: “To keep the event fresh, we have a brand new venue, the Hilton Manchester Deansgate. With its exclusive Cloud 23 bar with panoramic city views, it is a fitting location for the industry event of the year.”
We are pleased to welcome aboard PepsiCo, which will be sponsoring the Vendie for Best Snack/Confectionery Product, Customer Business Manager Stephen Hendry commented: “We are delighted to be supporting The Vendies at AVEX 2015 for the second year running, and in particular to be sponsoring the Best Snack/Confectionery category. This award is a superb fit for our brands and further shows the commitment of Walkers Snacks to the vending industry. These awards recognise the best of the best in our industry and give true recognition to manufacturers who bring new ideas and initiatives to the market place.”
N&W will once again be sponsoring the Service Engineer of the Year category. “Training our customer’s field-based engineers has always been a high priority for us at N&W,” MD Dave Ward said. “Every year, we welcome around 200 service engineers from all over the country to our Service Department at Bilston. We have experts dedicated to ensuring each ‘trainee’ gets the information and the back-up they need to provide their custumers with the best possible vending service. We’ve got some of the very best vending engineers in the world here in the UK and we’re pleased to be associated with their achievements.”
Douwe Egberts return to sponsor the award for Best Vending Operator (5-9m annual turnover). “We are excited to join in celebrating another great year in vending,” commented Euan Thomas, assistant marketing manager at Douwe Egberts Professional UK.
