Sweet Ideas rebrands to become Deliciousideas Food Group

The new #Snackboost range

Peterborough-based Sweet Ideas has rebranded to become Deliciousideas Food Group to reflect the changing face of consumer purchasing.

The decision was prompted by a huge growth in sales of the company’s own brand, Healthyideas, Deliciousideas and Snackideas offering healthier snackes and ‘free from’ foods in line with consumer habits over the last 24 months.

Following on from the increased success of its contract packing business, Manasty Packing, Deliciousideas Food Group will act as the umbrella brand of which Manasty Packing and the company’s four brands; Healthyideas, Snackideas, Deliciousideas and Sweetideas will sit.

Managing director, Jonathan Potter, said: “Despite our success over the last 25 years from our confectionery branded products and the recent renaissance with Retro sweets, the existing and future growth of our business is derived from healthier impulse snacks and products that fit into a vegetarian and vegan diet. The 18-30-year-old professional, is increasingly looking to fill their daily dietary and nutritional requirements from impulse snacking products that carry good fats, protein, vitamins and fibre but without the sugar content.

“All our research and development has been invested to create products within our port-folio of brands. We still supply confectionery to our clients but it is just a small percentage of our sales and this is being reflected in our company re-brand”

The business is also launching a new #Snackboost range, which offers multiple nutritional benefits, and hits NHS CQUIN guidelines, plus Government buying standards which came into force recently.
