Strong results from Vendia Group

A strong ethical trading policy and clear commitment to excellent client service have contributed to steadily increasing revenues and profits for the Vendia Group during 2007, securing its claim as the UK’s fourth largest vending company.
Mike Potts, Chief Executive Officer of Vendia UK, said: “Our recently announced 2007 trading results saw a lift in revenues of over five per cent across our UK operations, and one of the best profits in the history of the company – both significant achievements given the tough market conditions that challenge all vending companies today.
“We are proud that our investment strategy, our responsiveness to changing market requirements, such as the healthy eating trend, and the remarkable loyalty of staff and customers alike are making such a visible difference to our operating performance.”
2007 also marked a key milestone for Vendia’s Café Joe brand of premium quality, ethically traded coffee, tea and hot chocolate. At the end of December Simply Drinks, Vendia’s subsidiary in the South East, installed the 1000th Café Joe branded machine, at the offices of a prestigious client in central London. Also coinciding with Fairtrade Fortnight in early 2008, the new www.cafejoe.co.uk website was launched to give customers regular updates on the many ethical vending options that are now becoming available to them.
Drinkmaster, Vendia’s single-portion drinks specialist based in Liskeard, Cornwall, also celebrated the end of a successful trading year in 2007 by winning a significant, long-term contract to supply Ladbroke’s chain of betting shops throughout the UK.
Mike concludes: “The success of 2007 is the culmination of years of work to establish Vendia as a key player in the UK vending industry. On the basis of this success we are now in a position to further increase our market share through extending our proven, dynamic approach to business development and by setting new standards for client service.”
Vendia UK is one of the largest beverage and snack vending companies in the UK. It is part of the international Vendia Group, based in Holland and with vending operations in France.
