Selecta wins five-year Wilkinson contract

Leading UK vending services provider Selecta has been awarded a five-year contract to provide hot beverage vending machines to hardware store Wilkinson at its main distribution centre in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.
Selecta has operated at the distribution centre for the past 10 years and already provides food and confectionery machines on site. Under the terms of the new deal, Selecta will now also supply 11 hot drinks machines offering leading brand beverages to 1,200 employees based at the site.

The new machines operate using a ZIP cashless system which gives employees a set amount of beverages per day free of charge. In addition, a Selecta hostess, who will be responsible for cleaning and stocking the machines, will be permanently based on site.

“We have enjoyed an excellent working relationship with Wilkinson over the past decade and we are delighted that they have asked us to provide them with this new fully managed vending offer,” says Selecta business development executive Beverley Smith. “We are confident that the new beverage solution will provide staff at the site with hot drinks whenever they need them.”

“After a long relationship with Selecta, they are offering the service we have long come to expect from them and have had very few teething problems taking into consideration the number of staff and shift patterns we operate,” says Wilkinson despatch supervisor Dave Wheatley.
