On July 28,  14 members of staff from the Bradford based company Refreshment Systems will be tackling a 50 mile walk from Burnley to Apperley Bridge in celebration of their 50th anniversary.

The walk will not only be a way to celebrate their 50th year but will also be aiming to raise £2,000 for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, based in Oxenhope.

The team will be making a pit stop half way in Skipton to refuel and rest before completing the final stretch to Apperley Bridge.

Community fundraiser Harriet Wood said: “I think this is a fantastic way to celebrate such a great mile stone and the fact that they are giving something back to the community is wonderful.

“This challenge won’t be easy but I think that’s what makes it worth doing, from everyone at Manorlands we want to say a very big thank you for your help and commitment to our local cause – it means a great deal to so many people in our care.”
