RBC Logistics has acquired the goodwill and assets of Brands 2 Hands, which came into effect on August 7.
RBC Logistics, based in Milton Keynes, provides specialist logistics support within the vending, catering and IT equipment sectors. Operating across the UK, RBC’s two-man crews effectively plan and execute next day deliveries for their customers.
Brands 2 Hands, based in Old Dalby, Leicestershire, provided logistics, remanufacturing, asset management and warehousing within the vending, coffee, catering, chiller and various other industry markets. Employing 79 permanent staff and covering a location of 144,000sq ft, this business is now trading as RBC East Midlands.
The acquisition of the service provider represents the market entry for RBC Logistics into the remanufacturing industry. With the expansion, RBC can strengthen its market share and increase its services across the core industry sectors.
RBC’s depot network now includes five locations with head office in Milton Keynes and a further four depots in Bury, Bristol, Glasgow and Old Dalby, Leicestershire.
Working in partnership with the existing customers and suppliers RBC can ensure stability to the business and confidence to the customer base.
Sales manager of RBC, Alan Wick, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity. With our knowledge and experience of two-man logistics, combined with the team at Old Dalby’s knowledge of remanufacturing this gives us a real opportunity for two passionate teams to come together and offer a market leading product and service.”
Director of operations from RBC, Colin Lowe, added: “It’s been a busy yet rewarding time, and I’d personally thank all the staff for their passion and support.”
