Aimia Foods, the independent supplier of hot and cold beverages, has launched its first Rainforest Alliance certified coffee. The new addition to its portfolio ensures Aimia Foods can now supply the vending trade with a range of fair and ethically sourced products including Fairtrade, coffee from the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia (FNC) and the Rainforest Alliance.
Buendia Rainforest Alliance certified instant freeze-dried coffee contains 100 per cent Colombian Arabica beans for a smooth and consistent flavour. Exclusive to Aimia Foods, this Rainforest Alliance Certified Coffee is available now in 10 x 300g vending bags.
The Rainforest Alliance is an alternative ethical and sustainable sourcing scheme which works to protect the environment, local people and stakeholders who grow coffee. To gain the Rainforest Alliance Certified accreditation, farmers must show they are supporting and also sustaining their farms, from their employees through to their land. The scheme’s investment in improved working practices and processes, ensures excellent quality and the use of the Rainforest Alliance logo itself supports a higher price for the farmer, without the need for a set guaranteed price. This higher price allows more investment in growing regions.
Clear demand
