Masteroast customers, suppliers and friends raise over £3,000 for Sightsavers

Tuesday July 9th, 2013: Coffee roaster, Masteroast Coffee Company, recently presented a cheque for £3,615.00 to Brian Kinealy, local representative for Sightsavers International. Sightsavers is a registered UK charity that works in more than 30 developing countries to prevent blindness, restore sight and advocate for social inclusion and equal rights for people who are blind and visually impaired.

The money was donated by the golfers and sponsors attending the annual Masteroast Golf Day held at Greetham Valley Golf Club recently.

The Masteroast golf event is in its 12th year and this year included a show by World Golf Trick Shot Champion Geoff Swain, 18 holes of golf and a formal dinner. Masteroast puts on the event for customers, suppliers and friends. Raising money for charity has become an integral part of the day with Masteroast guests entering a raffle for the chance to win a luxury hamper donated by Taylors of Harrogate and home coffee grinder donated by Mahlkoenig before the presentation of prizes for the day’s best golfers and the winning team.

Generous sponsorship contributed greatly to the donation from Masteroast suppliers: Aldermore Bank, Armajaro Trading, Brita Water, Caps Cases, Clydesdale Bank, Complete Coffee, D R Wakefield, Floryn Ltd, InterAmerican, Goglio, Manor Packaging, Maxilla Packaging, MHA MacIntyre Hudson, The Pallet Network, Paragon Labels, P C Howard, Plasto-Sac, Polibol, Quest Employment, RGS Labels and Tuffnells Parcels Express. Bravilor Bonamat and Marco Beverage Systems also supplied their coffee machines for use throughout the day.
