Leading manufacturer of water boilers and filter coffee brewers, Marco Beverage Systems, has become a proud shirt sponsor for a junior rugby union team run by National Account Manager, Neil Clark. Neil is an RFU qualified coach and devotes much of his free time to coaching his local team from Bishops Stortford Rugby Club, developing the boys and girls with aspirations of becoming the next wave of Wilkinson’s, Farrell’s and O’Gara’s.
The sponsorship money raised from Marco and other benefactors will be used to take the ‘Minis’ rugby team, for a weekend of outbound activities with an away match planned for the return journey.
With 231 people attending, 127 of whom are aged between 6 & 12 years of age, it is set to be an enjoyable weekend. The youngsters will experience activities that are designed to build confidence, demonstrate teamwork, stretch comfort zones, build relationships and most of all to have fun. Activities will include high ropes, abseiling, quad bikes, archery, zip wires and rifle shooting, most of which the children will never have experienced before.
Being a rugby tour, naturally adults will be able to enjoy the weekend, too, as the site has two bars with a late licence, just a short staggering distance from the accommodation!
With Marco’s support as a sponsor it means that all the 127 children will receive a bespoke tour top and a branded water bottle for free.
Says Neil: “I am so pleased that Marco has been able to help. I’d like to thank them and all our sponsors. It means a great deal to the youngsters and will help develop them both on and off the field.”
