New locker style fresh food vending machines have been unveiled north of Rothienorman in Aberdeenshire, Scotland offering local produce to the community.
The machines are built in Italy with software from Innovend and are jointly designed by Automaten Centrale and Innovend, both Dutch companies.
Stuart Retson of Vending by JSR has the contract to sell the machine in the UK along with another simpler farm food vending machine by German company Roesler which was unveiled in the UK three years ago.
The Roesler machine is a multipurpose healthy vending machine used to sell eggs, organic food, vegetables and even jams and oatmeal.
The machines are said to have “dramatically increased sales” in every site they have been installed and proved a real hit with customers of all ages.
Stuart said: “We can sell anything from these machines and they take all payment systems while we can also build them chilled or not or a mixture of both. They really are a shop without the staffing or legislation hassles.”
Vending by JSR has 55 of the older style machines operating in the UK selling all food types. Already four of the newer web-based machines have been sold and will all be delivered and operational before Christmas.
