Cadbury, the UK’s largest confectionery business, recently opened its newly refurbished staff restaurant at its manufacturing facility in Bournville, Birmingham.
The three-year project saw Cadbury complete a new build for office staff and brand new kitchen, servery and dining areas. With food safety in mind the preparation and service islands offer a five-star choice of food design from theatre to grab-and-go, with final payment through the modern Touchscreen tills of a Myriad cashless system. In reviewing its requirements and seeing the Myriad product with its leading edge technology, Cadbury was assured of GiroVend’s ability to provide a system to suit the needs of the site, including a seamless transfer to the new system.
“GiroVend worked well with us from the word go”, said Paul St Aubyn, Cadbury Facilities Manager, “understanding our challenging requirements and the demands put upon our restaurant facilities by the wide range of day and shift working members of staff. We are confident the new system will increase efficiency, be more cost effective and be of benefit to our staff and catering team. In my opinion the Myriad product is best of breed”.
Key benefits to staff of the GiroVend cashless payment solution cross over to any manufacturing facility. With staff prohibited from carrying personal belongings, the GiroVend solution prevents people eating into their valued break through numerous trips to their lockers. When coupled with increased speed of transaction and the back-office management reporting system, it’s easy to understand why Cadbury is enthusiastic about the system.
“We are proud to be a supplier to such a prestigious and valued brand. Our long-standing relationship with Cadbury is built on understanding their needs and ensuring our team tailors the solution to meet their specific requirements”, said Gary Heath, GiroVend Managing Director. “We always take the view that every relationship we establish with a client will be long term. Listening to their requirements and providing the flexibility to create a solution that meets their needs is how we have gone on to work with customers such as Cadbury for 15 plus years.”
Part of Group 4 Technology (G4Tec), Girovend is a leader in cashless payment and payment processing solutions in environments which include professional and financial services, retail, education, industrial, and leisure.
