As Birchall Tea continues to grow its presence across the UK, this month the British tea brand is introducing a new product, Great Rift Decaf. Bright, delicious and bursting with flavour, Great Rift Decaf is the fifth generation tea company’s first decaffeinated product and has been developed following extensive research by Birchall’s tea experts in London.
Birchall hopes the launch of Great Rift Decaf will boost demand for decaffeinated tea and, prior to its release, the new caffeine free breakfast tea blend has already generated a high level of interest after scooping top honours for decaffeinated tea at this year’s Great Taste Awards.
Great Rift Decaf is Birchall’s first black tea offering since 2012 and takes its place alongside Great Rift, Pfunda and Pfunda Earl Grey in the company’s celebrated collection of premium speciality teas from East Africa. Like all of Birchall’s black teas, Great Rift Decaf is certified by the Rainforest Alliance and sourced entirely from tea estates across East Africa and the Great Rift Valley.
The new blend is available in a 6 x 20 format and presented in contemporary Prism Tea Bags, made with a biodegradable mesh netting which releases the full flavour of the loose leaf tea inside and allows for the purest infusion. In-line with its caffeinated counterpart Great Rift, Great Rift Decaf is also available in a 10 x 80 ‘everyday’ tea bags format.

Birchall Tea will be showcasing Great Rift Decaf at the Independent Hotel Show at Olympia West Hall, London between the 21st and the 22nd of October.
