Barry Callebaut Beverages UK has received a Grade A from BRC Global Standards in recognition of its best practice for food safety. The certification reflects the company’s high standard of food safety management and its first-class manufacturing practices, which ensure premium quality across all products in the company’s wide range.
The audit, carried out by BRC, covered the blending and packing of dried powders, chocolate drinks, whiteners and coffees into pillow packs, vending sleeves, bulk lined cartons and big bags, referencing Barry Callebaut’s entire quality management system.
Head of sales for Barry Callebaut Beverages in the UK, Paula Bentley is delighted with the result: “Our industry is familiar with BRC Standards and, for many, this is like a gold flag. We’re really proud to have scored so highly and are pleased to now be able to publicise this accolade as it is an indication of the improvements we have made to our manufacturing processes in our Chester base and shows how well we operate as a company across the board.”
In other company news, Barry Callebaut Beverages has introduced three Bensdorp’s Barista Single Origin Cocoa and Chocolate drinks to its product line.
