AVA Confirms Ray Stubbs as guest speaker for AVEX 2017 ballot

The Automatic Vending Association (AVA) has confirmed that broadcaster and former footballer Ray Stubbs will be the guest speaker at the AVEX 2017 Ballot, which takes place on 29 September at the NEC in Birmingham alongside the AVA’s AGM.

Boasting a successful career in sports journalism, Ray is chief football reporter for BT Sport having previously worked for the BBC and ESPN. From Wallasey, Merseyside, Ray spent five years as a player for Tranmere Rovers before later going on to spend three years working with BBC Radio Merseyside as a reporter and presenter. Ray has also been a presenter on major UK sports programmes that include Grandstand, Match of the Day and Sportsnight.

Following the AGM where members will get information on AVA activities along with new announcements Ray will make the draw at the Ballot.

The AVA’s chief executive Jonathan Hart said: “We’re thrilled to have Ray Stubbs at the AVEX 2017 Ballot and look forward to hearing about the joys, trials and tribulations of being a TV sports presenter. It’s exciting to get the build up to AVEX 2017 truly underway at the Ballot where AVA members get the opportunity to secure stand space.”
