Aimia Foods innovates as new ‘Pour Moi Café Express’ coffee station launches

A brand new vending concept set to raise the bar in the vending sector has been launched by the food and drink experts at Aimia Foods.

Aimia Foods revealed Pour Moi Café Express, the next generation self-serve coffee station, to operators on 24th September. Pour Moi Café Express is the most complete – yet affordable – coffee station in the market today and builds upon the success of Pour Moi’s first generation of machines. Hosting a wealth of innovative features and adaptations not seen in other coffee stations on the market, the machine, unit, and payment systems are all seamlessly integrated to provide a solution that is unparalleled in design quality.

Of pivotal importance to Aimia was ensuring that the system was geared with the operator in mind. With a 48 hour operating cycle, achieved through the inclusion of triple capacity ingredients canisters and a high volume waste system, as well as a revolutionary sliding coin mechanism access model, Aimia has brought total practicality as well as its renowned coffee shop style to the system.

Developed in a tri-partite agreement with partners Coffetek, Regency Design and Nayax UK, Pour Moi Café Express covers a smaller footprint than Regency’s standard units, a move Aimia’s Marketing Controller Martin Armitt describes as essential.  He says:  “We’ve reduced the footprint and height, giving access to more sites whilst at the same time ensuring the branding and presentation is phenomenally strong, utilising familiar coffee colours and cues to support maximum consumer uptake.”

Pour Moi Café Express integrates Regency’s user friendly touches, such as a media screen which comes as standard with pre-loaded, end-user orientated videos.  This provides a perfect platform for advertising opportunities whilst cup, sip lid and ancillary compartments pave the way to host Aimia’s double walled, fluted 12oz coffee shop cups.

In partnering with Nayax UK, Aimia Foods has included a suite of payment options including traditional card chip payment as well as contactless payment, a proven method of obtaining sales uplift with an estimated 40% increase in purchases alone.  In addition, the management reporting available through NAYAX UK ensures operators can watch throughputs and make better decisions about visits to site.

As a point of difference, Aimia Foods is offering vendors two buying options, which gives business owners the choice of purchasing the coffee station outright or opting for a cash flow loan to spread the cost. By offering a cash loan alternative, Aimia Foods believes it could help certain businesses win larger contracts quicker as well as maintain existing credit lines.

Aimia Foods has drawn on its experience from traditional floor standing Pour Moi machines, with over 100 hours of drinks development to ensure the system is set up to provide best-in-class drinks straight ‘out of the box’, as well as ensuring the nation’s second favourite drink, tea, is on the menu.

Benefitting from Aimia’s quality products and ingredients, Pour Moi Café Express drinks are fair and ethical, including Fairtrade coffee beans and chocolate.  This ensures the machine has appeal to a wide range of sites across the public and private sector.

Summarising the entire concept, Martin concludes:  “Pour Moi Café Express is a true retail concept for a different vending future. What sets our model apart from others in the market is the combination of design and technical enhancements, big purchase savings, clever use of space, compelling branding and a choice of business models to suit different needs.”
